Since the Engineers have seed innumerable cosmos with life history , and then take back to those world periodically to check in on their creations ( like cosmic scientists ) , each earthly concern has traces of the alien God Almighty . While the Predator ’s encounter with the human race and Xenomorphs were classically entertaining as any otherAvPstory is , thebattle between the Predator and the Engineerwas downright epic . Both specie were equally matched in terms of physicality , with the Engineer in reality proving to be even tougher than the Yautja . This was n’t a struggle between a humanoid Orion with advanced tech and an alien creature that is little more than a bug - like beast , this was splanchnic , brutal , and exhibited skills from both fighter that had never been put on presentation like this before .
This comedian proves two things : the lore of the Engineers is richer within Predator , and the fight scenes between a Predator and an Engineer are way better than those between a predatory animal and a Xenomorph . It makes sense that a Predator would be hunting Engineers , and the idea that every planet the Yautja visit is part for the aim of getting one step nearer to the Engineers is brilliant . Not only that , but through the centre of the Predators hunting the Engineers , fans would get to see countless other alien species that would be insufferable to see otherwise , with the ultimate payoff being the aforesaid battle between the pestilent Predator and their ultimate prey . So , whileAlienintroduced theEngineers , it is time to let them survive withinPredatorcontinuity , as that pairing just works right smart advantageously .
