Ben only kills Hennix when he deflected a lightsaber thrown at him by Tai , all while trying to lay aside Voe from falling to her death . While Kylo does kill someone , he really did n’t mean to and the demise only occurred while he was actually move on a larger-than-life pulsing to save someone who was trying to stamp out him .
By the end of the series , Kylo Ren does ultimately give in to his hate by stamp out Ren and taking over as theleader of the Knights of Ren , but he only does so as an act of retribution for Ren ’s murder of Tai and not because he actively wanted to kill someone . All of this mean that , while Ben did have the potential drop to manage the Dark Side in a powerful way , Luke was entirely wrong about Ben .
