While the origination of Oroku Saki aka the Shredder differ slightly depending on whichTMNTcomic / animated / live action serial one is savor , the two most notable beginning are found in the original Mirage StudiosTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles(since that was whereShredder made his unveiling ) , and the ongoing IDW PublishingTMNTseries ( since that is the current canyon ) . Oroku Saki ’s origin in the Mirage comic is much more cut and ironical as he is the drawing card of a ninja clan know as the Foot who wronged Splinter in the past , leading to sliver wanting vengeance through the efforts of his boy , the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles , which culminates in an epic battle with Shredder at the end of the first return . In the IDW continuity , Shredder is an ancient relic of the nearly forgotten past times as he was the drawing card of the Foot Clan in feudalistic Japan who was mystically brought back to lifetime in the modern day . While these incarnations are very different and do n’t apportion any connections beyond the theatrical role ’s name and personality , it seems they are n’t altogether disjoined as Shredder ’s not bad fear in IDW may , in fact , be attributed to a traumatic experience he suffered in Mirage .
