Screen Rant : How did you feel when TJ announced it would be a trivia challenge ?
Xavier : ( Gives two thumbs down ) Booooo !
Shan : I ’ve seen them , so I was like , oh man ! I just really do n’t like the mind of dropping costless - pin from anything . I just do n’t care those rides . I care roller coasters , but a free fall drop - no . But then I was like , I ’m with Xavier … I’m smart , he ’s an lawyer ! I ’m like , we really ca n’t go unseasonable . I felt like it was assorted , like I do n’t require to fall but I felt really respectable have Xavier by my side . So those were my initial thought when I pick up it was trivia .
Xavier : I would say I felt confident . I feel like I knew a nice amount of thing . I find like I had a very strong partner in Shan . Obviously , I would have prefer if we had done something strong-arm , just because nobody wants to see me and Shan in anything physical . But we did n’t get that . So I was like as long as it ’s not some out of the blue category that I have no noesis of , I think we ’ll be okay . I definitely do n’t remember we were going to get last . I think in any day-by-day challenge , your finish is to verify you just do n’t come up in last and go straight into elimination .
It ’s also voiceless when you ’re up there and you have to believe about facts , but you ’re scared about being dropped . What did it feel like to have the base literally dropped from under you ?
Xavier : I commend when we drop , I looked over at Shan . I kind of just thought it was fun . I was kind of amused by it so I just had my harness . Because look , if we die , they stick a case come . So I ’m just like , “ Uh , we got it wrong . Shan , you ready ? ”
Shan : That ’s precisely what happened though ! I could not recall straight at all . All I heard was,“Pesos , pesos , pesos … ”In my pass I was thinking,“Yen , yen!”But I could n’t say anything and I was like , Xavier ’s so smart but pesos does not sound decently and I ’m holding him and X says,“Well , are you ready?”and the ground just gives manner . It was terrible , terrible ! I never want to do that again . The whole destitute fall second , it was fearsome !
Xavier , how did it feel retrieve out that Alyssa desire revenge against you ?
Xavier : That injury . I ’m not go to lie , that kind of harm . Just because , there were other reasons prior to the season I thought we were really go to be locked in with one another , but that ’s not always the case and it seemed like there were underlying touch on what happen duringBig Brotherseason 23 . It is what it is . It ’s punishing for me to sit here with my perspective kind of knowing certain things and did n’t fully understand their perspective and vice versa . We were really good friends and to see that you had this pent up bitterness towards me that you never expressed . I care we would have had a conversation about it so we could plow it . I trust you infer why I did what I did onBig Brotherbecause it had nothing to do against you . I was just … we wanted to see a Black winner . There had n’t been one .
It seemed like your strategy for the elimination was to go hard and complete it as fast as you could . Do you think the penalization was the reason you lost ?
Xavier : Shan have we have this doubt before ?
Shan : This inquiry sound so familiar …
Xavier : patently it ’s a penalization . It ’s not going to benefit you . But I do nt believe it was as much of a hindrance as I remember everyone else thinks . Because literally within seconds , we were at the same place as David and Justine were in the puzzle . As presently as we got out , we were strike . Honestly , if we could have work out it out … there was one slice that we got amaze on . If we had figure it out , we would have blown them out of the water . Not to say that they did n’t execute well . I do n’t ever want to give that impression . David and Justine deserve all their flowers . They beat us clean and square . I ’m not taking anything by from them . I ’m just saying we were on them . We had get up to them in seconds , we just got caught up on one piece . plain the penalization did nt help . Would we have won without it ? Hopefully .
It seemed like you were very close behind them .
Shan : That ’s the affair that gets me . And like Xavier ’s so nice . I just sense like , they ’re both incredible competitors but Dave did this immense overlap around the arena . I was like , dude follow on ! We were proper freaking behind you . It ’s not like you guy smoke us . We took the penalty , X had enough in him that he was like ready to punch through all the shabu , so he did it . He handled it . We got in , we get out . Once our penalisation was done , we catch up to them so quickly that just speaking competitively , yeah it sucks that we had the prison term loss because we probably would have ended up back in the menage . It is what it is . I always say it ’s a good thing I did n’t go back in there because I would have fall the place on fire and I do nt have it away how practiced that would have been so , you know . I ’m sad , but we tried and I ’m proud of how well we did and how we get up despite the amount of penalisation we had .
Xavier : We accept a risk and it did n’t pay off . But sometimes you have to take a danger at some point in this game . Think about it , if we take the penalty and then we go back in the house , who do you recollect wants to see us in any competition after that ? The face that we would have beat them in a puzzle after a 50 second penalization , no one would ever want to see us . Not only would it have mail a substance like , hey , respectfully , do nt mess with us .
Shan : Right ! It would have been so good .
With the editing , it ’s hard for viewers to see how long the elimination are . How long were you in the scene of action from start to finish ?
Shan : It was n’t long .
Xavier : The longest portion was traveling through the tunnel , father the man . perhaps 20 min ?
Shan : I do n’t even think it was that long . I recall it was possibly about 10 - 12 minute of arc . That thing flew so quickly ! The puzzle we was with in a minute !
Xavier : True . When you ’re in it , it kind of sense long !
